I am soliciting resumes for an Adoption Program Director in a faith-based, start-up private adoption agency in Houston seeking to be the premier adoption agency in Texas. Adoption programs will initially include domestic and foster care adoptions, with plans to add international adoptions in the future. Excellent opportunity for the great responsibility of helping orphaned children find safe and loving homes and to help shape the professional development of a new adoption agency.
Must be a Texas LMSW with at least 2 years of “documented, full-time child-placing experience under the direct supervision of a person fully qualified to conduct child placement management staff activities.” (Or LBSW with 4 years such experience.)
Must have Child Placing Agency Administrator’s License (CPAAL) or eligible to apply for licensure. Minimum standards for CPAAL licensure require a master’s degree and at least “one year of full-time experience in management or supervision of child-placing personnel and programs” (or a bachelor’s degree and two years of such experience) and successful completion of DFPS-administered examination.
